Dry Seal Dry Suction Chest Drainage System
 
A chest drain that offers greater efficiency in drainage and promotes patient mobility, maintaining a closed system. Its main benefit is the Scheffler valve. Coated with Teflon and silicone and made from a custom thermoplastic elastomer, the Scheffler valve guarantees a low opening pressure and low flow resistance at all times. This results in maximum efficiency for draining fluids from the pleural or mediastinal space.
The intended use is to drain fluids from the mediastinal cavity and pleural cavities. Three main applications exist:
After elective surgery i.e. thoracic surgery or heart surgery
Trauma situation (pneumohemo thorax)
Medical (Pleural effusions / spontaneous pneumothorax)
